Children, Youth, and Family Ministries

We are a church made of families, which is why we find it so important to provide families like yours opportunities to explore their faith, learn about God, grow, and have fun. We offer programming on Sundays and during the week for children, youth, and friends of all ages.

Sunday Morning Programs

Sunday School
Children and youth older than 3 years through 12th grade are invited to attend! Sunday school is offered at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings between worship services. Students will join classmates for a fun Bible lesson designed specifically for their age group. Lessons may include music, crafts, storytelling, creative and reflective writing, or drawing!
Faith Kids Zone and Nursery
In our worship space, we have a carpeted Faith Kids Zone seating area up front for parents with young children. We also have activity bags for children to use in worship that can be found in a large basket near the entrance to the worship space.

We additionally have a well-equipped nursery for infants and toddlers under age five for parents to use with their children. The nursery is open on Sundays during and between both services.

Sunday School classes and the nursery are located in the classrooms across from the sanctuary building. Programs for children and teens begin at 10:00 am starting the Sunday after Rally Day and continue through Memorial Day. All are welcome. Preregistration is not required.

Annual Programs

Baptism
Faith Lutheran Church baptizes children on various Sundays of the church year. Parents can register online. See more information on infant and child baptism.
First Communion Class
First Communion Class is open to all children whose parents want them to begin communing. The purpose of the class is to provide a brief instruction for children and parents who would like to participate in Holy Communion. Class meetings are arranged with the pastor and parents.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a three-year program that typically begins when a student enters sixth grade. Confirmation meets on Sunday mornings during Sunday School. Confirmation continues the journey that began in baptism, where we as the church and family of the child promise to raise them in the Christian faith, allowing the confirmation student to explore their faith in a safe place, learn about the Bible, the Lutheran tradition, and what it means to be a Christian in our global, digital age.
