Thank you for your interest in Faith Lutheran Church. There are several things we want to share with you about Faith but the most important is that you are welcome here.
We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings or to check out our food pantry on Thursday evenings at 7 pm to get an idea of who we are as a community. As a program-size church, Faith Lutheran offers small group opportunities for ministry across the lifespan. Are you a musician or singer ~ consider joining one of our choirs. If you have children, look into our youth and family ministries. If you are retired, we have ways that you can continue lifelong learning with fun fellowship.
When Faith Lutheran was founded in 1943, we were the first Protestant church in Castro Valley and began as a large, ecumenical, corporate-size church on the property of a chicken coop. To this day, we still are very good about keeping our eyes on Jesus and God’s vision for us. When you join us for worship, you’ll see our large, stained glass window of Jesus, in full color after his resurrection. In that freedom of new life in Christ, we strive to do God’s work with our hands.
